Dr. Austėja Armonaitė obtained her veterinary degree from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Veterinary Academy in 2020. During her studies, she pursued multiple international externships in France, Latvia, Belgium, United Kingdom, and Hungary, which provided her with early exposure to a wide range of equine clinical settings and case management approaches. Following graduation, Dr. Armonaitė completed a rotating internship at the Centre Hospitalier Vétérinaire Équin de Livet, one of the busiest equine referral centers in France, where she received intensive training in emergency medicine and referral case management.

In 2021, she joined Clinique Vétérinaire du Champ du Perrier as an associate veterinarian, working back-to-back with Dr. Grisard and Dr. Leonard in sports medicine, lameness, and orthopedics, treating both sport horses and racehorses. She also became involved in international competitions, serving as a treating veterinarian at 3*-5* horse shows, and ultimately as part of the veterinary team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. In 2024, Dr. Armonaitė joined the Clinique Vétérinaire Equine d’Argonay, where she was primarily responsible for referral medical and surgical ophthalmology cases, in addition to consultations in orthopedics and internal medicine. She performs advanced ocular procedures and continues to expand her expertise through specialized training, including an ophthalmic microsurgery externship in Germany and advanced courses with internationally recognized equine ophthalmologists. 

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Armonaitė has contributed to scientific research with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences. She combines a clinical expertise with a commitment to advancing equine medicine through research, education, and international collaboration.
